This morning you will be picked up at your hotel in Bagan, then start your Bagan temple tour with a first visit to the colorful local Nyaung U market in the Old Bagan. This is definitely a must see stop in Bagan to get a glimspe at the local life of the people. Indulge in the hustle and bustle atmosphere in the market where is full of delightful sound from the people who barter for their products.
Continue your amazing day trip to a chain of beautiful pagodas and temples of Bagan: We first visit Shwezigon Pagoda, the most beautiful gilded pagoda built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine. The legend said that it was one of the sacred temples housing the Buddha relics.
Next, visit Gu Byanuk Gyi, a temple with superb murals of Jataka scenes; Khay Min Ga Temple, noted for its panoramic view of the area’s numerous monuments.
The next highlight will be the Ananda Temple, one of the most well-preserved religious construction in Myanmar famous for four standing Buddha images. After lunch, visit one of the most treasured handicrafts workshops where craftsmen create fine lacquerware nearby Myinkaba village.
Before exploring Manuha Temple, which built in the Mon style in 1059 and follows on to Nan Paya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha.
