Enjoy the best of the golden land in this Myanmar tour with the starting destination in Yangon to visit the amazing Shwedagon Pagoda, British Colonial building, local markets, then proceed to the country’s second largest lake – Inle Lake with visits to its unique floating fishing village to admire the exquisite leg rowing method and soak in the vibrant local market. The rest of the tour will be 4 nights beach relax in a luxury boutique resort in one of the best beaches in Burma – Ngapali beach.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival (D)

Welcomed upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will be driven to our hotel. The rest of the day will be free to recover. This evening, we will have a Welcome dinner in Karaweik Palace which overlooks the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower. A meal of fine Burmese food will be served followed by a beautiful cultural show of music and dancing. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon City Tour & Boat trip (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the sacred Shwedagon pagoda – the most prominent monument in Yangon. Then we drive to Sule Pagoda – the 44 meters high stupa at the roundabout of the city center for a visit to one of the oldest pagodas in Myanmar.

After that, head to Chinese Town, where we have a chance to enjoy the exotic streets of Yangon downtown and British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, and Inland Water Buildings. We will then move to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda to see the 70-m-long reclining Buddha and Myanmar’s holiest monument.

In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to Thanlyin, the beautiful town that is the home of two splendid pagodas: the Kyaikkauk Pagoda and Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda, situated on an Island. Firstly, we walk across the Thanlyin Bridge to visit the Kyakikkauk Pagoda, seeing the daily life of the local people in the Kyauktan market then take a boat to Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Heho. From here, we will take a scenic drive to Nyaung Shwe where we will get on our boat to Inle Lake. The boat sails through villages inhabited by the local Intha people and their unique floating gardens. After settling into your hotel, take a short break before an amazing afternoon of sightseeing.

In the afternoon, we visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda – home to five revered Buddha statues before continuing our visit to Inpawkhone, a weaving village with a cheroot factory where typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Overnight in a resort in Inle Lake.

Day 4: Inle Lake – Indein Discovery (B)

After breakfast, we board a motorboat for a sightseeing tour to Nam Pan village where Burmese cigars and canoes are made. The boat then will take us to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will be definitely relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left to nature for centuries.

Our next visit is the Ngaphechaung monastery, a wooden monastery built on stilts well known for its impressive Buddha images and jumping cats. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 5: Inle Lake – Thandwe – Ngapali Beach (B)

This morning, we will visit the unique “5-Day Market” held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is absolutely a magnificent place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and then experience the exotic market atmosphere.

Then, enjoy your day at leisure and then we will drive to the airport for an afternoon flight to Thandwe. It is time to immerse in the pristine waters of Ngapali Beach and the beautiful green coconut groves. Overnight will be in Ngapali.

Day 6: Ngapali Beach Free Time (B)

Time will be free to relax on the sandy beach of Ngapali. Overnight in Ngapali.

Day 7: Ngapali Beach Free Time (B)

Time will be free to relax on the sandy beach of Ngapali. Overnight in Ngapali.

Day 8: Ngapali Beach Free Time (B)

Time will be free to relax on the sandy beach of Ngapali. Overnight in Ngapali.

Day 9: Ngapali Beach – Yangon Departure (B)

Free time until our car arrives to take us to Thandwe airport for a noon flight to Yangon. On arrival, we will entertain ourselves at the Terminal of Yangon International Airport in good time to connect on the homeward flight. Tour ends.
