This morning, take a beautiful journey to Mount Popa to see one of the most significant locations in Myanmar’s history, religion, and culture. To go to Taung Kalat, a Buddhist monastery perched on top of the pagoda, you’ll need to trek up to 777 stairs. Learn about the 37 Nats of Burmese culture inside the monastery (natural spirits).

Make a pit stop in a village en route back to Bagan to visit a local community and observe how they use palm trees to produce molasses and wine.
