Today you will be set out your trekking through the dense jungle of the magnificent temples of Angkor.

Your first destination of the day is Angkor Wat, one of the largest religious sites in the world. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru, the home of the gods.
Walking from temple to temple is a unique way to see these magnificent ruins: glimpses of small temples can be spotted amongst dense jungle, towers appear looming overhead, and the sheer number of ruins along the way is staggering. Stop on the way for lunch at a simple local restaurant. From here, find your way through the forest towards the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8 m high wall, drawing a perfect square. Continue your trekking to Prasat Chrung where you will have your picnic lunch and admire the beauty of the surrounding. Take some rest under the shade of the tree before continue your road.

Then take in the expanse of the moat of Angkor Thom before you enter the city through the ancient South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and four giant faces. On each side of the entrance path a row of 54 gods or demons is holding the sacred Naga snake.

From here, continue to Bayon Temple in the exact center of the city. This 12th century masterpiece is a study in grandeur and is well-known for its 54 towers with enigmatic faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.
Transfer back to your hotel for resting and enjoy your dinner at your own arrangement. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Note: Your car and driver will be standby all day long while you are trekking just in case you may need.

It was the first town built by the Angkorian kings in the 8th and 9th century and consists of three main temples: Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko. The surrounding countryside with its rice paddy fields and sugar palm trees are very typically Cambodian.
From there, take a characteristic Cambodian vehicle to the shores of Tonlé Sap Lake, where you will bike along and have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake. Tonlé Sap is South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake with its size varying greatly depending on the season, as it is swelling to about four times its size during the wet season. Board a local boat and visit Kampong Pluk, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonlé Sap Lake extends. On the way, you will pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests, portraying life on the water. A delicious picnic lunch will be served in a floating house.

Transfer to Roluos Pagoda. Continue to cycle 12 km on the only remaining trace of the old Angkorian road between Beng Mealea and Angkor Thom, until you reach the temple of Chau Srei Vibol that is hidden in the jungle. Enjoy a break with some drinks and snacks.
From here, it is only a short 7 km ride to Wat Tabeng, a traditional village that is among the most scenic in Cambodia, set amidst a sea of rice fields. Here, in a clean and safe place on the premises of a picturesque wat, you will find your unique photographic opportunities.
