Mingalaba! Welcome to the mythical Bagan! Today, meet your guide at the airport and start your adventure to Bagan at the bustling Nyaung U Market right after that. This is the best place to capture a first glimpse at the life of the local people. Then, head to a nearby village to see the countryside life in the morning.
We believe the trip to some of the most beautiful temples today will be a highlight of your adventure today. First visit Shwezigon pagoda, one of the most revered temples in Bagan built by King Anawrahta. In sunny days, the pagoda exposes its golden hue to the sky that will intrigue the heart of any visitors. Continue to Htilominlo Temple, one of the five oldest temples in Bagan built by red brick noted for its majestic 46 meters tall. Then, your guide will also take you to Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of Bagan built in the 11th century. Come and witness the well-preserved beauty of the temple through the ups and downs of the historical journey.

In the late afternoon, move to one of the highest temples in Bagan: Shwesandaw temple. Although it is unavailable to climb up to the top to watch the sunset, you can still able to explore the great architecture of the pagoda and its legend of enshrining the Buddha’s relic.

Today is a full day to explore the charming of Bagan in other outstanding temples. Rise before dawn this morning to not miss a chance to marvel at one of the most majestic sunrises in the world. Then make your first visit at Sulamani Temple, the elegant religious site built in the 12th century. Spend your time to gaze out at the exotic painting faded on the pagoda’s wall and walk through the collonade to see some of the unique souvenirs before moving to Dhamayangyi Temple, the largest of all temple in Bagan displaying the finest brickwork. If you notice on the top of the temple, you will see that it is incompletely constructed. The abandon tells a story of King Narathu from the 12th century. Keep listening from your guide to learning more about that before preparing for a trip to see the real way of local life in the rural area. Head to Myinkabar village to discover the lacquerware production, one of the most famous products in Bagan. Spend your time to interact with the local artisans to learn more about the process of creating these beautiful items.

Your amazing trip today also include a visit to Gubyaukgyi Temple to admire its fine stuccowork and Nanpaya Temple, an impressive Mon style religious site with intricated stone carvings. Finally, complete your temple trip at Manuha pagoda to admire 4 large images of the Budha.

Take a scenic drive to Mount Popa this morning to visit one of the most important sites to Myanmar culture, religion, and history. You will spend time to hike up to 777 steps to reach Taung Kalat, a Buddhist monastery which is perched on the top of the pagoda. Inside the monastery is where you can learn about the 37 Nats of Burmese (natural spirits).

On the way back to Bagan, make a stop at a village along the way to visit a local village and see their way of using the palm tree to make wine and molasses. Arrival at Bagan, your driver will transfer you to the hotel or to the airport to take a flight to your departure. Trip ends.
