Try hands-on picking the seasonal vegetable in the organic garden to cook the traditional dish of the Intha people
Mingalaba! This morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to a stunning boat trip on Inle Lake. We will make our way to Inpawkone, a special village with floating houses where is far-famed as the lotus growing village.
Upon the village, our guide will take you to Inle Heritage foundation and vocational center, the leading training school in the region which established in 2013 to help the local community learn about agricultural conservation and sustainability. The center is where you will spend your time to take your amazing cooking class in Inle Lake. Also, runs as apart of the social funding model so what you pay here will help the region. Meet and greet the chef and listen to him to know about the menu and the seasonal ingredients which will be used to cook the dish.
After that, you will have a chance to try your hands on harvesting the vegetable on an organic garden to cook for lunch. With each ingredient you grab, the chef will provide you with interesting knowledge about it for you to better understand the local vegetables.
When all the ingredients are ready, learn step-by-step of the cooking process to make the Intha dish, the essence of the Shan cuisine. Once the cooking is done, enjoy your special lunch at a leisure pace.
After finishing the cooking class, spend your time to visit a local weaving workshop and take some great photos around Inpawkone village.
Later, return to your boat trip and row back to your hotel. Trip ends. Thank you for making your cooking class in Inle Lake with us!

We had wonderful time from the beginning till the end. Soe Soe was our tour consultant. She tailored the tour according to our request and all went smoothly & safely. Sellected hotels were in good location, clean and comfortable with king size bed. It’s a private tour and the guides were flexible. Some long drives between locations, but comfortable vehicles. We visited some local markets and they were authentic highlights. Good value overall, though some temple visits got repetitive. I will fully recommend E-travel to anyone who wants to travel to Myanmar.read less
