Leave Yangon this morning to take a domestic flight to Mandalay – a city of great culture. Make your first visit of the day at Mahamuni Pagoda, an important religious site in Myanmar housing one of the most highly revered Buddha images in the country.
After that, gain local insight at the workshops of gold leave making, tapestry making, woodcarving, marble carving, and bronze casting. And. if you love, why don’t you try your hands on making one under the careful guidance of the artisans? Then, charge energy with a flavorful lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our trip.
In the afternoon, visit the Golden Monastery admire the dramatic teakwood design of the Burmese people in the 19th century. Next up, visit Kuthodaw Paya, a complex of a golden stupa and hundreds of ancient shrines. Take leisure walk to explore the world’s largest Buddhist book which made from 729 marble slabs.
Finally, fulfill your trip with a scenic drive to Mandalay Hill where spiraling staircases will lead you to sweeping views of the city and its temples. Here, you could get a golden chance to soak up the sunset over the hill.
